Meditation Exercise

This exercise can be done after the concentration exercise above, but beginners should not meditate longer than a total of 10 to 15 minutes at a time.

Try to see the candle flame in your heart, first the whole candle, then the candle flame. Try to see the flame very clearly and feel that you yourself are this candle flame. Then feel that the light of this candle flame is growing, is becoming brighter and brighter, and is growing into a little sun. This sun shines into all directions. Feel that you expand with the rays of the sun into all directions, that you become wider and wider; you expand beyond your body, farther and farther away.

When you loose your concentration, just start again from the beginning. The clearer your imagination is, the easier the exercise becomes.
